Encountered a unique prioritization framework today that assigned a value of 1 - 5 (5 being highest) for the categories of business value, impact scope, urgency, effort (workload), and risk (optional). A mathematical formula can then be used to determined a priority score.

Value-Based Job First (VBJF)

1. Business value: Revenue impact, customer adoption, strategic alignment.
2. Impact scope: How many workstreams are affected? Does it unlock additional use cases?
3. Urgency: Time-sensitive
4. Effort (Workload): Engineering complexity, dependencies, delivery effort.
5. Risk (Optional): Technical or business uncertainty.

Priority Score = ( Value + Scope + Urgency ) / ( Effort + Risk )
